The mobile application system is designed for inspectors, certifiers, builders, engineers and individuals. Record, store property inspection information and generate reports electronically while on-site.

Challenges
- To handle touch events correctly to capture a smooth and accurate representation of the user's signature.
- Managing offline data storage is a challenge. We implemented an auto-save feature to prevent data loss while users are filling out forms.
- Capturing the signture as image to attach it in pdf.
- Old Android Gradle Plugin version was used, which was 2.8.0. Where most of the business methods were deprecated.
- Android Support v4/v7 was used which is outdated by Android itself. So, we could not work out the latest functionality depending on the latest Android OS version.
Solution
- Implement the touch event method properly to track the touch points and update the drawing accordingly. We manage it using styles.
- To manage the inspections in no internet zone or no network, We have implemented a local database system, where whatever details filled by the user, will be stored locally depending on the inspection site. So, the user can synchronize the inspections in the network zone later on.
- We ensure to follow complete view hierarchy so dont miss the any part of content. Also Ensure the size and scale of the graphics context match the size of the view to avoid distortion in the image.
- We have migrated Android Gradle Plugin from 2.8.0 to 8.6.0 to cover up all the latest technology. So, there won’t require major changes for the future updates.
- We have migrated Android Support v4/v7 to AndroidX which is the latest revised version of Android Support depending on the latest Android OS version. We have replaced all the old views with the latest views. Now, we have more functionalities to manage the stuff.
